Ví dụ
Quá khứ đơn (Simple Past):
She helped her friend with her homework yesterday. (Cô ấy đã giúp bạn cùng lớp với bài tập về nhà ngày hôm qua.)
Quá khứ tiếp diễn (Past Continuous):
They were helping their neighbors when it started to rain. (Họ đang giúp đỡ hàng xóm của họ khi trời bắt đầu mưa.)
Hiện tại hoàn thành (Present Perfect):
He has helped many people in his career. (Anh ấy đã giúp đỡ rất nhiều người trong sự nghiệp của mình.)

Hiện tại hoàn thành tiếp diễn (Present Perfect Continuous):
We have been helping our community for the past few months. (Chúng tôi đã đang giúp đỡ cộng đồng của chúng tôi trong vài tháng qua.)
Quá khứ hoàn thành (Past Perfect):
By the time she arrived, they had already helped everyone. (Khi cô ấy đến, họ đã đã giúp đỡ mọi người rồi.)
Quá khứ hoàn thành tiếp diễn (Past Perfect Continuous):

Bài tập vận dụng quá khứ của Help
Bài tập 1: Điền từ “help” vào chỗ trống để hoàn thành câu.
Can you _______ me carry these bags?
They always _______ each other with their homework.
The teacher _______ the students understand the math problem.
She _______ her sister finds her lost keys.
I need someone to _______ me fix my computer.
Bài tập 2: Viết câu với động từ “help” theo yêu cầu.
Sử dụng “help someone” trong câu đảo ngữ. Ví dụ: He helped his friend. -> His friend helped him.
Sử dụng “help someone with something” để diễn tả việc giúp đỡ trong tình huống cụ thể. Ví dụ: They helped their parents. (Move furniture) -> They helped their parents with moving furniture.
Sử dụng “help someone do something” để diễn tả việc giúp đỡ trong hoạt động cụ thể. Ví dụ: She helped her brother. (Fix his car) -> She helped her brother fix his car.

Ví dụ: Tom helped Mary carry her groceries. Mary thanked Tom for his help. -> Tom helped Mary carry her groceries. Mary thanked him for his help.
Sarah helped Peter fix his bike. Peter was very grateful.
The firefighters helped the people out of the burning building. The people were relieved.
The teacher helped the students understand the difficult concept. The students appreciated her assistance.
John helped his friend study for the exam. His friend passed the exam thanks to John’s help.
